Eric Meignan joined Alpine Racing in October 2023 as Technical Director at the Team’s power unit base in Viry-Châtillon. He has over 30 years’ experience in the motorsport industry, starting his career at Peugeot in 1994 as a Mechanical Engineer after graduating with a Masters of Engineering in Mechanics and Energies from École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers. He also obtained a Post Masters of Engineering in Engines, Turbomachines and Thermodynamics from Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs.

Over the course of his career, Eric has worked at Cosworth Racing, Mecachrome and Hyten SA in various positions. In 2015, he took on the role of Chief Engineer at Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains before being promoted to Head of Department in 2017. Eric then moved to Scuderia Ferrari as Head of Department in 2020 where he remained for four years before joining Alpine Racing in 2023.
